Asian Christian Counseling and Educational Seminar Services, Inc. (ACCESS) was founded in August 2004, beginning it’s counseling service with only the Executive and Clinical Director on staff, the Board of Directors and the two counseling graduates as volunteer staff. ACCESS set up it’s first permanent main office in Doraville, GA in September 2005 (see first newsletter here), and a satellite office in Johns Creek in the fall of 2009.
In 2008, ACCESS doubled its language capacities to include not only English, Chinese, and Taiwanese, but also Korean and Japanese, and added a Cantonese-speaking counselor for the first time in September 2010. In addition to counseling services, ACCESS has also presented workshops and seminars in English, Chinese, Taiwanese, and Korean.
After a loss of major funding in 2017, ACCESS had to close it’s main office and cut back to part-time operations.
